In a courtyard that could only be accessed through a tight New Orleans alleyway, Blue Cypress Books hosted a release party for Sam Kane's debut novel The Pilgrim's Soul. The April 10th event was a huge success filled with friends, drinks, and amazing custom cookies from Sweet Lagniappe Nola. The reading was close and intimate, and the questions about the book were thought provoking and rich. All said and done, it was a night to remember! Don't worry if you missed the party,

Alisha has been doing art since she was small and drawing on the walls for her mom. She has since tried to work in mediums that won't cause anyone to lose their rent deposit. She has experimented with many mediums while attending an Idaho community college, including: clay, watercolors, oil, charcoal, mixed media, and digital. She received her BA in illustration and stayed an extra year to get a minor in child psychology. She moved to Washington State as quickly as possible
